President's Corner

I would like to welcome everyone to this portal. Through this site, we traverse together our journey towards higher education greater heights.

This is the period of many transitions when most of the innovations in our nation’s educational system have been implemented such as the ASEAN 2015, the K-12 curriculum which is in full blown of its implementation this year, the Institutional Sustainability Assurance Mechanism of CHED (ISA) not to mention the various accreditation processes both in the local and international such as the ISO and many more. Indeed this administration is facing tremendous challenges in steering the compass of our direction as one of the HEIs in this part of the region. I cannot survive this alone. Together, we should BRAVE D’ STORM.

We are able to live at ISPSC in a place of intellectual freedom, of inspiring tradition, of extraordinary resources, because we are ISPSC. We need better to comprehend and advance its purposes – not simply to explain ourselves to an often critical public, but to hold ourselves to our own account. We must regard ourselves as accountable to one another, for we constitute the institution that in turn defines our possibilities. Accountability to the future encompasses special accountability to our students and the community, for they are our most important purpose and legacy.

Anchored on this, my vision as your President is for ISPSC to be a vibrant and nurturing Polytechnic Service College for transforming lives and communities by improving the lives of people and communities through quality instruction, innovations, productivity initiatives, environment and industry-feasible technologies, resource mobilization and transformation outreach programs and services.

It is not easy to convince people or a community such as this to respect, much less support, institutions committed to challenging society’s fundamental assumptions. But it is our obligation to make that case: both to explain our purposes and achieve them so well that this precious institution survives and prospers in this postmodern era. I cannot do this alone. ISPSC cannot do this alone. But all of us know that ISPSC has a special role to play. That is why we are here; WE ARE ISPSC; that is why it means so much to us.

Together let us embrace those responsibilities and possibilities through our core values: Productivity, Resiliency, Accountability, Ingenuity, Synergy, and Excellence.

I am at your service…

DR. FRANCISCO D. LOPEZ
