  • Tuzon, Francisco undergo CHED-DAP PHILHECS EDP Training

    Dr. Gloria Tuzon, Campus Executive Director (Tagudin) and Dr. Apolo S. Francisco, Director for Student Affairs and Alumni were chosen from among the 128 applicants nationwide to be part of the first ever intensive six months training of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) sponsored Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) implemented- Philippine Higher Education Career System (PHILHECS) Executive Development Program (EDP).

    Dr. Tuzon and Dr. Francisco underwent three stages of rigid and rigorous screening landing 3rd and 6th places respectively from among the final top forty candidates selected. The training commenced August this year and ends February 2017.

    What PHILHECS is

    PHILHECS is designed to train and develop the candidates by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to excel as SUC leaders. The training is also a venue for the candidates to have a dialogue with other participants, to discuss critical issues in higher education, and to be trained as executives who are able to recognize, understand and address various forces and changes that their institutions will face.

    The Executive Development Program aims to produce SUC leaders that manifest  the core competencies  of PHILHECS which are: leads a globally competitive HEI, thinks strategically and creatively, nurtures a high performing learning institution, generates and manages financial and other resources, builds collaborative and inclusive working relationships and manages self and works towards one’s full potential.
