  • Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Achieves Milestone with Outstanding Growth in Research Council Membership


    Manila, Philippines — December 9, 2024 – Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) has been recognized for its remarkable achievement in research and development, posting the second-highest average annual growth rate in the number of approved members of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP). The award was presented to the college by the Department of Science and Technology - NRCP during the 2024 RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly held at Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila.
    The recognition highlights ISPSC’s commitment to strengthening its research and development initiatives, with a particular focus on increasing the number of its faculty and researchers approved as NRCP members. Since the initiation of the institution's Research and Development Lead (RDLead) engagement, ISPSC has steadily advanced in its academic and scientific contributions, paving the way for increased recognition and collaboration on the national and international research scene.
    The RDLead program, which aims to empower academic institutions to lead in research and development, has played a significant role in ISPSC's success. Under this initiative, the institution saw a surge in its research output, culminating in a notable increase in the approval rate for NRCP memberships. The award is a testament to the college's evolving role as a key player in the country's scientific and technological advancements.
