Abstract: This study assessed the output of Grade 10 learners taught by the National Artist, Teofilo Garcia and by the TLE teachers in San Quintin National High School. The descriptive-evaluative method was used in this study. The study used means and percentages to describe the profile of the students in terms of sex and parent’s occupation. Results showed that there are more male learners who are interested in the art of gourd hat making and farming is the main source of livelihood of the parents of the Grade 10 learners of San Quintin National High School. The study also revealed that the Grade 10 learners of San Quintin National High School possessed a very high level of gourd hat making skills in terms of craftsmanship, creativity, and time management. It is also evident in the results of the study that the gourd hat is a potential product in the market that can generate good profit for the people of San Quintin at a reasonable price that is not harmful to the environment. Gender differences affect the level of craftsmanship, creativity, and time management skills of learners. On the other hand, parents’ occupation does not affect their level of gourd hat making skills. The study recommended that the school should continue to include in the curriculum more innovative ways of teaching the art of gourd hat making and TLE teachers should also undergo skills training in gourd hat making under Teofilo Garcia to capacitate them. Moreover, that learners should actively participate in the skills development so that they will be able to acquire the needed knowledge and skills. And lastly, the scheduling of gourd hat done in the previous school years should be maintained taking into consideration protocols so that all learners will be able to learn the skills properly.
