    NEWS ISPSC strengthens commitment to agricultural excellence at the 12th National Congress of Agriculturists 

    In pursuit of academic distinction and sectoral development, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) participated in the 12th National Congress and 2025 Philippine Agriculturists' Summit held from July 28 to August 1, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. 

    The ISPSC delegation was led by Dr. Robert S. Ablog, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Engineering, and Development Communication (CAFED) of the Santa Maria Campus. He was joined by Dr. Francisco N. Divina (Faculty Member of CAFED), Mr. Peter Paul L. Lazo (Science Research Specialist), and Mr. Prexie Ram T. Roa (Science Research Assistant). 

    The event also brought together ISPSC alumni who are now serving in various government agencies. Among them are Jeffrey Ignacio, Ricardo Collado, Meryjoice Aglibao, and Cathy Pastor of the Department of Agriculture Regional Office I; Ela Mae Cardenas and Alvin Lawrence Natividad of the Ilocos Sur Provincial Veterinary Office; Joseph Tadeo of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist - Ilocos Sur; Ryan Jay Sape of the National Tobacco Administration in Bangued; and Floramine Pascual and Benedicta Quiocho of the Local Government Unit of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur. 

    Organized by the Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc. (PAA), the annual summit convenes agriculture professionals across the nation to address pressing challenges in the sector, promote innovative practices, and foster cross-sectoral collaboration for food security, agricultural modernization, and climate resilience.
