  • ISPSC Faculty to Present Research Paper at 2nd SEAMEO International Conference on Food and Nutrition

    Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) is proud to announce that Dr. Armando D. Diga, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Engineering, and Development Communication, will represent the institution as a paper presenter at the 2nd SEAMEO International Conference on Food and Nutrition. The event will be held on October 17-18, 2024, in Jakarta, Indonesia, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Center for Food and Nutrition (SEAMEO RECFON).
    With the theme, “Understanding the Gains, Challenges, and Opportunities in Environmental Nutrition Research, Programs, and Policies in Southeast Asia,” the conference aims to foster dialogue and enhance understanding of key issues surrounding environmental nutrition in the region.
    Dr. Diga will present his research titled, "ISPSC Luntiang Pamayanang Project: A Succor During COVID-19 Struggles in the Selected Communities of Ilocos Sur, Philippines." His study highlights the vital role of sustainable community projects in addressing food security and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic and throughout all times, underscoring the importance of continuous efforts to promote sustainable practices.
    This prestigious gathering serves as an avenue to explore innovative ideas and policy directions that can shape sustainable nutrition practices across Southeast Asia. ISPSC congratulates Dr. Diga on this remarkable achievement, reflecting the institution’s commitment to impactful research and international collaboration.
