The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), through its Human Resource Development Services, participated in the Mangrove Tree Planting Activity organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) - Ilocos Sur Field Office and the Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners (CHRMP) Ilocos Sur Chapter at Brgy. Sabang, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur on September 15.

The activity, “Mangroves for Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan,” aimed to support mangrove conservation and foster environmental responsibility among government employees as part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary and the 2026 Philippine Civil Service Month.

Conducted in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Cabugao, the activity brought together government agencies and human resource practitioners to support mangrove conservation, protect coastal ecosystems, and promote collective environmental responsibility through community-based action.

The ISPSC delegation was led by Ms. Evelyn A. Dollente, HRDS Director , and included representatives from the HRDS offices across the College’s different campuses.

Also part of the activity was the CSC-CHRMP Ilocos Sur Chapter’s Regular Monthly General Assembly, which provided a venue for human resource practitioners to discuss matters related to personnel management and public service.

ISPSC’s participation reflects its continued commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship, supporting efforts aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 on Climate Action and 14 on Life Below Water. Through initiatives that promote environmental protection and community involvement, the College continues to encourage responsible public service toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
