IN PHOTOS Dr. S Jafar Ali Ibrahim of QIS Educational Institutions India paid a courtesy visit to ISPSC President Dr. Mario P. Obrero today, May 26, at the President’s Office in ISPSC Main Campus. The visit is part of the ongoing discussions on a potential collaboration between ISPSC and QIS, focusing on disaster monitoring and preparedness in Ilocos Sur.

Also present during the visit were: Dr. Annabelle B. Francisco, VP for Research, Extension, and Internationalization; Dr. Dominador A. Ayson Jr., VP for Administration and Finance; Dr. Anna Marie D. Barroga, VP for Academic Affairs; Dr. Christian C. Gandeza, Special Assistant to the President; Dr. Ranec A. Azarias, Director for Internationalization; Dr. Noel L. Llamar, Director for Research; Dr. Tanya Sue D. Barayuga, Chairperson of the Research Ethics Committee; Dr. Jaime G. Raras, Campus Director of the ISPSC Main Campus; Mr. Marvin Galano, support staff of the Research and Development Office; and staff of the Office of the President.

The partnership, which was first explored in a Zoom meeting on May 14, 2025, aims to strengthen community resilience through research, technology exchange, and the possible implementation of the Candon 1 Disaster Monitoring Satellite project.
