Demonstrating excellence in research and innovation for sustainable development, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) researchers earned international recognition after receiving the Best Paper Award under Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger category during the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE) A-GRASS Summit 2026 held on May 26-29 in Tagaytay City. 

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), through its Indigenous Peoples Education Research Center (IPEDRC), conducted the 3rd International Lecture on Indigeneity Studies on May 28, 2026, via Zoom, in partnership with the University of Hawai?i - Leeward Community College and the NAKEM Conferences.

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Narvacan Campus, through its INNOVASIN, the Sustainable Salt Production and Innovation Project, continues to strengthen the institution's commitment to research innovation while promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for communities. In support with the initiative, ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and Trade-Industry Development Specialist Ms. Arcel Mae E. Gadia of DTI Ilocos Sur conducted a campus visit, May 26.
