SOCOTEC Certification Philippines Inc. recommends ISPSC for continued certification to ISO 9001:2015

Candon City, Ilocos Sur- The SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. recommended the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) for continued certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System after the 2-day first surveillance audit held on April 29 to 30, 2024.

Cervantes, Narvacan, Santiago, Tagudin and Main campuses were subjected to auditing on their services and systems to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency and to maintain confidence that the certified management system of the college continues to fulfill requirements between recertification audits.

The pool of auditors is composed of Ms. Maria Fatima Mercurio as lead auditor, and Mr. Eugene Herradura and Mr. Michael Jordel Matundan as support auditors.

The ISO audit is in compliance with the Executive Order No. 065, s. 2007 known as “Institutionalizing Quality Management Systems in Government” which aims to effect actual improvements in public governance in recognition of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 series which ensures consistency of services through quality processes.

"I would like to commend you (referring to the faculty and staff) for 'di matatawarang efforts ... despite the challenges brought by the merging and transitions," Dr. Christine N. Ferrer (OIC, Office of the President) said during the closing meeting of the said surveillance.#
