  • ISPSC honors 67 loyalty awardees, celebrates institutional milestones

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) gathered its officials, faculty members, and personnel from the seven campuses for a celebration that highlights public service, institutional accomplishments, and the people behind the College’s continuing pursuit of universityhood.

    Anchored on the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) with the theme, “Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan”, the program brought together the ISPSC community which commenced with an ecumenical prayer led by Ptr. Rosendo Tatunay, and a series of activities recognizing years of dedicated government service, celebrating institutional achievements, and fostering camaraderie among employees.

    Dr. Filipinas M. Gasalao, Vice President for Finance and Administration emphasized in her remarks the relevance of looking back to the inward identity as public servants.

    In his speech, ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero expressed his immense pride as the institution’s president to the celebrations. “This dual milestone is a powerful testament to our collective journey. It reflects our profound commitment to public service and the transformative power of education. For our workforce, this joint celebration rejuvenates our professional vow to serve our stakeholders with clean hearts and unyielding integrity, while reinforcing our fundamental mandate to cultivate academic brilliance and societal growth.”

    As introduced by Chief Administrative Officer Dominador A. Ayson Jr., Ms. Marina N. Garcia, Provincial Director of the Civil Service Commission–Ilocos Sur Field Office, and the guest speaker of the event highlighted the significance of Puso, Dangal, and Galing. Ms. Garcia emphasized that civil servants need to have a heart that serves, cares and makes a difference; dignity with years of choosing what is right; and excellence with confidence, dedication and hard work.

    The event also included words from Dr. Jonathan L. Dela Cruz, Vice President for Academic Affairs, which instilled that every task we perform, whether big or small contributes to the goodness of all. 

    The celebration recognized personnel who have rendered years of dedicated government service through the presentation and awarding of Loyalty Awards to 67 loyalty awardees from 10 to 41 years of service.

    Adding significance to the occasion is the presentation of plaques and certificates of awards recognizing ISPSC’s institutional accomplishments in the World University Rankings for Innovation, and Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings. ISO 9001:2015 recertification recognitions were also given to Tagudin Campus, Cervantes Campus, Santiago Campus, Narvacan Campus, Sta. Maria Campus, Candon Campus, and Main Campus headed by their Campus Directors, Dr. Daniel Juan Ramirez, Dr. Heidi Joy Bautista, Dr. Allan Ramos, Atty. Jose Cabatu, Dr. Jeanno Manzano, Dr. Annie Dorada, and Dr. Sheryl Morata, respectively.

    Through the celebration, ISPSC highlights that institutional progress is built not only on programs, rankings, certifications, and achievements, but also on the dedication, service, and solidarity of the people who make the College’s journey onwards. (MVB)
