The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Tagudin Campus celebrated the achievements of its Laboratory High School students during the Senior High School Graduation, Junior High School Moving-Up, and Recognition Ceremony held on May 15 at the Tagudin Farmers’ Civic Center.

With the theme “Empowering Communities Through Innovation and Academic Excellence,” the event recognized the students’ academic achievements and their growth, leadership, and perseverance throughout the years.

In his message, ISPSC President Dr. Mario P. Obrero emphasized the importance of using education to serve others and create positive change in communities. He reminded the students that success is not just about medals or awards, but also about “character, hard work, and purpose.”

He further encouraged the graduates to be active contributors in their communities, to lead with purpose, to think beyond the usual, challenge the status quo, and bring forward solutions that uplift lives. “Education becomes most powerful when it empowers others," he added.

Dr. Christopher L. Abaya, Medical Specialist II and owner of Tagudin Health Care Clinic, served as the guest of honor and keynote speaker.

This event, along with ISPSC Sta. Maria, marked the start of several graduation ceremonies scheduled this year across the ISPSC campuses.
