To strengthen alignment with institutional priorities and ongoing accreditation efforts, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) convened a strategic meeting on August 6 at the Research and Development Training Center, Main Campus.

Led by OSAS Director Dennis T. Millare, the meeting brought together OSAS chiefs, campus coordinators, and guidance counselors to recalibrate programs and services in preparation for the August 18 visit of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) evaluators.

In line with the strategic direction set by ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero, the meeting was attended by OSAS chiefs who were directed to revisit and align their plans and activities. Present were Ms. Maria Olivia B. Dangalen, in charge of Social and Community Involvement and Multifaith Services; Mrs. Marites Dulay for Indigenous and Foreign Students Services; Mr. Loyd Angelo Diana for Student Government Leadership Training and Student Organizations Development; Mr. Gem Marquez for Student Discipline; Dr. Alma Pasahol for Student Publication; Mrs. Hazel Berras for Economic Enterprise and Food Accommodation Services; Mrs. Honeylyn G. Pacquing for Career and Placement; and Mrs. Princess D. Racca for Guidance and Counselling. Mr. Millare also serves as chief for Learners with Special Educational Needs.

Also in attendance were campus OSAS coordinators from the seven ISPSC campuses: Dr. Larry Mostoles from Tagudin, Ms. Vergie Garlejo from Cervantes, Dr. Perlita Tomas from Candon, Mr. Michael Gem Marquez from Main, Mrs. Lilia Bambico from Santiago, Dr. Tanya Sue D. Barayuga from Santa Maria, and Ms. Stephanie Naungayan from Narvacan.

Mr. Millare emphasized the importance of accomplishing the OSAS monitoring tool, describing it as a critical requirement in ISPSC’s steps toward universityhood.

The coordinators were also tasked to synchronize their campus action plans, review the policies under CMO No. 63 (Due Diligence) and CMO No. 104 (Internship), and prepare for the upcoming Leadership Boot Camp. Guidance Counselors and Designates were likewise encouraged to adopt standardized guidance forms, update student population and case loads, and enhance their career guidance initiatives.
