  • ISPSC employees showcase talents in 28th Charter Day celebration

Employees of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) from its seven campuses came together to celebrate creativity and flair during the Talent Showcase held on March 12 as part of the institution’s 28th Charter Day celebration.

In her message, Dr. Filipinas M. Gasalao, Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the “wisdom of woven purpose,” reflecting on the shared service and sacrifices of employees that have sustained ISPSC through 28 years of excellence.

The program opened with a lively Zumba-inspired dance performance by Central Administration employees, featuring energetic twists and movements joined by ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and other key officials.

Cervantes Campus followed with a field demonstration-inspired performance set to the original Cervantes Ani Festival song, “Alab.”

In addition, employees from Narvacan, Sta. Maria, Candon, and the Main Campus showcased Filipino heritage through folk dances, including Cariñosa, Pantomina, and Polkabal, bringing traditional spirit to the stage.

Tagudin Campus energized the audience with a live band performance of popular TikTok hits, creating a concert-like atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Santiago Campus presented a modern community dance inspired by indigenous traditions, resembling the upland Cordillera “tayaw.”

For the finale, singers from the Main Campus delivered heartfelt renditions of contemporary OPM songs.

The Talent Showcase provided employees an opportunity to express their talents, strengthen camaraderie, and celebrate the shared spirit of the ISPSC community. (Thea Joe H. Estipular, STRATCOM Coordinator)
