  • Faculty Union elects new officers, names Board of Trustee representative

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Faculty Union has elected its new set of officers, strengthening faculty representation in institutional governance with the selection of a member to serve on the Board of Trustees, on October 7, 2026.

    A key development in the election was the election of Dr. Emed Manzano as Faculty Union President, representative to the Board of Trustees, Dr. Perlita Tomas for Vice President, Dr. Mary Grace Gacusan for Secretary, Mrs. Lilia Bambico for Executive Secretary, Dr. Vicente Raras for Treasurer, Ms. Lily Joy Bauding for Auditor and Mr. Wilfredo Salvador, Jr. for Press Relations Officer.

    The newly elected officers are expected to advance the interests and welfare of the faculty while fostering constructive engagement between the teaching personnel and university administration.

    The election underscores the Faculty Union’s role in promoting participatory governance and ensuring that faculty perspectives are represented in key institutional deliberations. (MVB)
